13 more Filipinos overseas recover as COVID-19 cases reach 5,369
MANILA, Philippines — Thirteen more Filipinos abroad have recovered from COVID-19, increasing the total number of recoveries among Filipinos overseas to 2,225.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) also logged eight new confirmed cases of the respiratory ailment among Filipinos abroad on Saturday for a total of 5,369.
Of the latest reported cases, 2,781 are seeking treatment from hospitals and health centers abroad.
Meanwhile, two more Filipinos in the Middle East died from the ailment. This raises the number of fatalities to 363.
DFA said 49 countries outside the Philippines have recorded COVID-19 infections among Filipinos.
Globally, COVID-19 cases reached more than 6.2 million. This includes more than 395,000 deaths and more than 2.7 million recoveries.
