MANILA, Philippines — Thirty-five more Filipinos overseas survived the coronavirus disease, boosting the total number of recoveries abroad to 824, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Saturday.
DFA also recorded 30 additional cases of COVID-19 among Filipinos overseas, increasing the total of those who have been infected to 2,360.
The department said the latest cases were from the United States, Asia and Europe.
Of the 2,360 cases, 1,262 are undergoing treatment at hospitals and health centers in their respective countries.
The foreign affairs department, meanwhile, documented five new deaths from Middle East, Europe and United States, bringing the total number of COVID-19 fatalities to 274.
The number of COVID-19 cases has reached more than 4.5 million worldwide. The respiratory ailment has killed more than 307,000 people but more than 1.63 million people recovered from COVID-19.
