Taiwanese group donates protective gowns to police, medical frontliners

MANILA, Philippines — A Taiwanese association in the Philippines has donated 1,500 units of personal protective gowns to police and medical personnel at the forefront of the country’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

President Huang Ya-Hui of the Taiwan Association Inc. Philippines along with leaders of the association handed the donation on Monday to the Philippine National Police (PNP), Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC), and National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI).

Dr. Joy Yen, Deputy Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines, also attended the turnover ceremonies.

Earlier, the Taiwanese Compatriots Association in the Philippines donated over 5,000 surgical face masks to the Department of Health.
