No Filipinos hurt in deadly Albania quake – DFA

MANILA, Philippines — No Filipino was reported killed or injured in the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that hit Albania early Tuesday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said in a statement on Wednesday.

The DFA said its Philippine Honorary Consulate in Tirana, the capital of Albania, reported that there were no Filipino casualties in the deadly quake.

At least 25 people died and more than 600 were wounded in the incident, according to the Associated Press.

“The Philippine Embassy in Rome, which has jurisdiction over Albania, is in constant communication with the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Tirana and the Filipino community leaders in Albania to gather the latest developments on the incident,” the DFA further said.
