Flights to and from Hong Kong canceled amid protests – Miaa

MANILA, Philippines — Protest actions in the Asian financial hub continue to affect several flights to and from Hong Kong, the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) announced Monday.
As of 5:30 p.m., August 12, 2019, Miaa said the following flights have been called off as thousands of pro-democracy protesters gathered at the Hong Kong International Airport:

Cebu Pacific said in its advisory that passengers affected by the canceled flights have already been notified.
Cebu Pacific further said that affected passengers may avail certain options like rebooking or full refund, or may also choose to park the cost of their ticket in a travel fund which the passenger could use on a future trip.
“We will do our best to assist all our passengers. For any concerns, you may message the official Cebu Pacific Air accounts via Facebook or Twitter,” Cebu Pacific said.
“We appeal for patience and understanding as we manage our operations in Hong Kong amidst the situation that is beyond our control,” it added. /kga
