Aquino flies to Hawaii for Apec summit

MANILA, Philippines — President Benigno Aquino lll is expected to arrive in  Honolulu late today (Thursday) in Hawaii for the 19th Asia-Pacific Economic Conference (Apec) Leaders’ summit.

Aquino will join 20 other chiefs of state led by US President Barack Obama in a four-day summit where the leaders are expected to talk on the economy, environment, trade and related issues.

A highlight of the security-tight summit is the photo opportunity wherein the delegates will don the iconic Hawaiian garb of floral-print polos for men.
