Chinese ambassador to donate P38M to Jolo bombing victims — Locsin

MANILA, Philippines — Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua will donate  RMB 5 million or P38 million to the victims of the explosions that rocked Jolo Cathedral, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin Jr. said on Thursday.

In a tweet, Locsin acknowledged Jianhua for the donation, noting that “a friend in our grief is a friend indeed.”

“CHINESE Amb Zhao is donating 5 million RMB to the families of the blast victims in the Jolo Cathedral. Thank you so much. A friend in our grief is a friend indeed,” Locsin said.

On Sunday, twin blasts rocked the Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Jolo, Sulu which killed at least 20 people and injured around 100 others. /ee
