Two Filipinos hurt in Hong Kong school bus accident — DFA

MANILA, Philippines — Two Filipinos were reportedly injured in a school bus accident in Hong Kong, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Wednesday.

A statement issued by the DFA said, through the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, it is in touch with the two Filipinos that were injured in the accident that happened in North Point Monday afternoon.

According to Consul General Antonio Morales, one of the Filipino victims was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday while the other victim is still undergoing treatment. Both are being assisted by the Consulate General.

The Consulate General, meanwhile, expressed its sympathies to the families of the four people that were killed in the crash.

Authorities are still investigating the possible causes of the bus accident, Morales noted. /je
