PNP-HPG to augment security patrol for Xi Jinping’s PH visit
The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) has assigned at least 50 police personnel to escort Chinese President Xi Jinping in his two-day visit in the country.
In a text message sent to INQUIRER.net, PNP-HPG Director Chief Supt. Roberto Fajardo said on Saturday that 53 personnel would be deployed for the visit of Xi on Nov. 20 and 21.

“The HPG have 53 personnel, motorcycle and mobile escort deployed / augmented to PSG [Presidential Security Group] for the visit [of the] Chinese President following PNP Police Operational Procedure on security,” Fajardo said.
The Manila City government already suspended all classes and government work in Manila in time for the arrival of the Chinese president.

Xi’s visit in the country next week will be the first state visit of a Chinese president in 13 years. /jpv
