The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed on Tuesday the arrest of 17 Filipinas in Saudi Arabia for participating in a Halloween party.

In a statement, the DFA said the Filipinas were arrested on Friday during a raid in a compound after neighbors complained of a loud noise.

The DFA said the 17 Filipinas are being held at the Al Nisa Jail in Riyadh, citing a report from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh.
