Briton found dead in Pangasinan
DAGUPAN CITY — A British man was found dead early Wednesday (April 11) at a fish pond in Binmaley town in Pangasinan province.
Gerald Thomas Higgins, 56, a resident of Barangay (village) San Isidro Sur, was discovered by a pond owner in Barangay Biec, at 6:10 a.m., according to PO2 Mark Christian Paraan, Binmaley police investigator.
Higgins may have fallen into the water after being struck by a west-bound vehicle, said Supt. Monaliza Asis, Binmaley police chief.
Higgins was often seen jogging, walking or biking along the Dagupan-Binmaley road, a busy highway connecting the capital town Lingayen and this city.
Asis said Higgins’ money was still in his wallet, ruling out a robbery.
Higgins had been residing in the town in the last 10 years.
