The Bureau of Immigration has arrested a Korean national wanted in his country for fraud.

Arrested in Infante Subdivision, Barangay Bagacay, Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental was Kim Cheon Sub alias Omalinh Sinhotha. He was arrested by members of the Immigration’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) on April 3, 2018.

Immigration had conducted the enforcement operation upon the request of the Korean government. Records showed that Kim has been included in the Interpol Red Notice list and is charged by the Seoul Central District Court in Korea after amassing 560 million KRW in exchange for counterfeit US dollars.

Immigration records showed that Kim is also an undocumented alien. /je
