Even government officials, including a senator, were starstruck by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as they took selfies with him or posted their once-in-a-lifetime experience seeing him in person while he is in the country for the two-day Asean summit.

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, in a Twitter post, described Trudeau as the “heartthrob” out of all the Asean delegates.

“Hands down, si Justine [sic] Trudeau pinaka heartthrob sa lahat,” Gatchalian wrote when he posted a photo of the Asean leaders, including Trudeau.

National Youth Commission chair Aiza Seguerra, meanwhile, posted on Instagram a selfie photo with the prime minister while Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go also released his own photo with Trudeau.

Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Karen Jimeno also took to Instagram to share her short encounter with the Prime Minister.

“Look who waved hi to me,” Jimeno wrote.
