DFA condemns terrorist attacks in Egypt
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday condemned the terrorist attacks in Egypt as it vowed to continue to support international efforts to fight terrorism.
“The Philippines condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks in Egypt over the weekend,” the DFA said in a statement.
The DFA described the attack which claimed 25 innocent lives and injured dozens of others in St. Peter’s Church in Cairo as “heinous acts of violence in a place of worship [that should] have no place in society.”
It also mentioned the attack on a security checkpoint in Giza that killed six police officers in the line of duty.
