DAVAO CITY, Philippines—Despite the explosion that rocked his hometown Friday night, President Rodrigo Duterte will push through with his three-country trip next week, according to Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar.
Shortly after the explosion, Andanar said Mr. Duterte wanted to postpone his foreign visits.

But he later said Mr. Duterte would go on with his scheduled trips, his first as President.
Mr. Duterte is scheduled to visit Brunei, Laos, and Indonesia.
He will attend the summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Laos, where he is expected to meet with nine heads of state. TVJ
