Gunmen attack, injure 2 Filipinos in Virgin Islands

TWO FILIPINOS hurt by gunmen were taken to Peebles Hospital in Tortola, Virgin Islands.

SAN FRANCISCO — Gunmen beat up and tried to rob two Filipino men who had to be taken to the hospital on Wednesday, September 30, in Road Town, Tortola, Virgin Islands, according to police.

Royal Virgin Islands Police Force reported that its detectives were investigating an aggravated burglary, at a home in Brandywine Bay early Wednesday morning.

“The two male occupants of the home stated that two men, one with a gun, came to their residence demanding money around 1 a.m. The perpetrators subsequently assaulted both men and then fled the premises,” read the police statement, which did not identify the victims.

The two Filipino men were taken to Peebles Hospital, treated and discharged. Nothing was taken from their home, according to VirginIslandsnewsonline.
