Bangon Palompon USA names college scholarship recipients

CARY, Illinois –- An organization of expatriates who hail from Palompon, Leyte is awarding full college scholarships to talented students from the municipality.

The Bangon Palompon Foundation, Inc. (BPFI) Scholarship Program Committee has announced the following students as recipients of full tuition grants (SY 2015-2016) at Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) Class of 2019:

  • Lady Kim G. Aludo, from Brgy. San Isidro, Palompon, Leyte, graduated valedictorian at Palompon National High School and taking for BS in Industrial Engineering.
  • Christian B. Biore, from Brgy. Cambacbac, Palompon, Leyte, graduated valedictorian at Promised Land Educational Academy and taking for BS in Marine Engineering.
  • Jocelyn D. Gulfo, from Brgy. Cantandoy, Palompon, Leyte, graduated top 7 at Alfredo Parilla National High School and taking BS in Education Major in English.
  • Honeylyn B. Pugado, from Brgy. Lomonon, Palompon, Leyte, graduated top 3 at Lomonon National High School taking BS in Education Major in Pilipino.

This program was made possible by the continued support of Palomponganons and compatriots around the globe who have responded to the needs of the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda. BPFI has implemented projects including food pantry and caravans, full tuition scholarships and school supplies distributions.
