Photo exhibit and book launch on ’13 Bohol quake set at SF Philippine Center
SAN FRANCISCO – A photo exhibit and book launching on the devastating 2013 earthquake in Bohol will be held Friday, May 8, 6 p.m. at the Philippine Center here at 447 Sutter Street.
On October 15, 2013 a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Visayas Region in the Philippines, with its epicenter located in the province of Bohol. The quake caused the destruction of many churches in Bohol, a big blow to symbols of the country’s architectural heritage and history.
The photo exhibit and book launch of Pagsulay, Churches of Bohol Before and After the 2013 Earthquake , featuring the photographs of Fr. Generoso B. Rebayla, Jr., SVD and Mr. Stanley Cabigas look back at the beauty and splendor of the Churches of Bohol and the changes brought about by the devastating earthquake. RSVP to [email protected].
