Widodo calls Cabinet meeting after report of Veloso recruiter’s arrest—report
After learning that the alleged recruiter of Mary Jane Veloso has surrendered, Indonesian President Joko Widodo called a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Radio DZBB said Widodo called the meeting to discuss the case of Veloso hours before her execution.

The 72-hour Indonesian deadline will end at 6 p.m. (Philippine Time) but the exact time of execution has not been announced by the Attorney General’s Office of Indonesia.
Media reports said Indonesian Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto confirmed that the Indonesian government was already notified that the alleged recruiter of Veloso has been placed under Philippine police custody. AC
