MANILA, Philippines–Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz on Tuesday assured that the government will provide assistance to the family of Kristel Mae Padasas, the church volunteer who died in Tacloban after the Mass of Pope Francis.

Baldoz said Padasas’ mother, an overseas Filipino worker in Hong Kong, is set to return to the country on Wednesday via a Dragon Air flight.

“The (Department of Labor and Employment), through the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, will provide them all the necessary assistance on account of their being an OFW family,” Baldoz said in a statement.
