7T tree sprouts planted on Earth Day

A TOTAL of 7,000 tree sprouts were planted by 80 employee-volunteers of Cebu Energy Development Corp. (CEDC) and Toledo Power Company (TPC) in celebration of Earth Day 2011.

The employee-volunteers, together with the 10 residents of barangay Daanlungsod, enriched the swamp with 6,000 mangrove propagules and planted 1,000 seedlings around the perimeter of the CEDC-TPC compound.


Tree planting is one of Cebu Energy and Toledo Power’s environmental activities under its “Kabilin” program.

Kabilin is the Visayan word for “legacy.”
