Pope to meet 24,000 Filipino youths in UST

pope francisMANILA, Philippines—Around 24,000 youth from different parts of the country will get the chance to meet Pope Francis at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila next month.

According to Fr. Conegundo Garganta, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP)-Episcopal Commission on Youth (ECY) executive secretary, the UST sports field where the youth’s meeting with the Pope would take place, will be divided into four quadrants that would be allocated to different youth organizations.

These groups include youth participants of the Philippine Conference on New Evangelization, Archdiocese of Manila, the CBCP-ECY and the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines.
