MANILA, Philippines—US President Barack Obama left the country on Tuesday morning after his two-day working visit to the Philippines.
Obama boarded the Air Force One 11:16 a.m.at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) back to the United Sates (US). The plane took off at 11:28 am. Reports said it will make a pit stop in Anchorage, Alaska to refuel then proceed to Washington D.C..
Obama arrived in Manila Monday afternoon to discuss with Pres. Benigno Aquino III the defense alliance between the Philippines and the US, among other matters.
The Philippines is the last stop of Obama’s Asian tour after he had previously visited Japan, South Korea and Malaysia which is part of the US’ bid to rebalance its forces in the region amid China’s increasing political and military might.
