MANILA, Philippines?Singapore police are investigating the March 15 death of a Filipina as a case of ?unnatural death,? the Philippine embassy in the city-state said.
In a report to the Department of Foreign Affairs, embassy charge d?affaires, a.i. Nathaniel Imperial said an autopsy has been conducted on the Filipina and the embassy has requested a copy of said autopsy report which it will provide to the deceased?s next of kin.
?A coroner?s inquiry will be conducted to determine the cause of death,? Imperial said.
He said the embassy is assisting in the ongoing police investigation and will provide assistance to the family including the early repatriation of the Filipina?s remains.
