CALASIAO, Pangasinan, Philippines—(UPDATE) At least 10 Koreans died when the van they were riding in hit a warehouse along the national highway in Bolinao town on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Senior Inspector Rizaldy Dalope, Bolinao police chief, said the Koreans came from Baguio City and were on their way to a resort in Bolinao town when the accident happened in the village of Sampaloc at about 12:30 p.m.

Dalope, in a telephone interview, said the driver could have been driving fast and failed to control the vehicle that eventually slammed into the warehouse. He said it was raining in the area when the accident happened.

Dalope said on Wednesday evening that the police had yet to identify the victims that included a girl that he estimated to be six or seven years old.

He said nine victims died while residents were taking them to the Sampaloc Community Hospital in Bolinao. The 10th victim died while undergoing treatment at the Doctors' Hospital in Alaminos City.

Dalope said the police informed the president of the association of Koreans in Baguio City about the accident and they were expecting the group's officers to go to Bolinao on Wednesday night to identify the victims.
