A MAN and a woman were found dead of gunshot wounds yesterday in a motel room in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.
Police said it appeared that the man shot dead his woman companion and then shot himself inside Room 551 of Princecourt Motel.
Police identified the dead man as Gerald Espinosa through his driver's license. The woman has not yet been identified.
Espinosa, 32, was found on the floor with only a towel on while the woman was fully dressed and lying beside him.
Motel employees told police that the couple checked in past midnight. At 10 a.m. yesterday staff heard a commotion and gunshots from inside the room. Employees called the police when they saw blood on the floor coming from under the door of Room 551.
Homicide police officer Julius Mabunay said that Espinosa had a gunshot wound in the head while the woman took a bullet in the chest.
A homemade revolver with live bullets was found in the room.
