Cancer specialists from the Asia Pacific region will gather for the Roche Asia Oncology forum from Nov. 6 to 7 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Lapu-Lapu City..
This annual convention, held for the first time in the Philippine shores, brings together doctors from neighboring countries such as China, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia and the Philippines to tackle developments in cancer care and treatment from both the Asian and Western perspective.
Cancer specialists will focus discussions on recent developments pertaining to gastric, colon, breast and lung cancers.
Delegates will also receive updates on the latest treatments focusing on Roche oncology targeted biological drugs for colorectal, breast and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Also among the highlights of the event is the discussion on key treatments for specific types of cancers. Among these treatment breakthroughs are antibodies specially designed to target and block potential cancer causing proteins or tumor harboring blood vessels.
These are the products of extensive research and testing conducted by pharmaceutical companies, such as Roche, in their efforts to bring the best possible solutions for fatal diseases worldwide.
The forum is in collaboration with the Philippine Society of Medical Oncology.
