A 53-story residential condominium building will soon tower over Cebu City’s skyline with its opening set for the third quarter of the year.

Jack Gaisano, president and founder of Taft Property Ventures Development Corp., said that Horizon 101 is the firm’s most important and biggest project so far.

“It will be the tallest building in Cebu and we are proud to present it to all of you,” said Gaisano.

The Horizon 101 is also strategically located at the center of the city at General Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City, which are near schools, malls and other business establishments in the city.

Manuel Colayco Jr., chief operations officer of Taft Property, said that he was optimistic of reaching their target goal in the Cebu market.

“We studied, evaluated and challenged each other in our team,” Colayco said of the project which aims to offer the best quality home living for Cebuanos at a reasonable and affordable rate.

Colayco, however, knows what he was talking about as Taft Property is a pioneer in housing developments in Cebu including Palmas Verdes, Nichols Park, Palm Heights Subdivision and Hacienda Salinas.

Architect Luis Santiago, principal architect from NS Inc., said that Horizons 101’s structural design not just meet the standards of a typical condominium building but also raises the bar of urban living.

The 53-story building has 868 fully furnished condominium units with a 100 percent backup generator to exempt it from any power outage in the city.

Santiago also said that the building is strongly built and will be one of the safest buildings in the city.

Amenities of Horizons 101 include a 25-meter lap swimming pool, jacuzzi, 150 meter jogging paths, fitness gym, children’s play area, mini theaters and a Japanese garden.

The building will have Wi-Fi connections and will have cable televisions in all units and the reception area.
