New DFA satellite office to open in Araneta Center

MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is set to open its newest satellite office in Ali Mall, Araneta Center, Cubao on Monday.

The soft opening will accept walk-in applicants during the first few days but will eventually accept online appointments starting Thursday, the DFA announced Friday.

“The DFA-Office of Consular Affairs wishes to inform the public that DFA NCR-Northeast, its fifth satellite office in the National Capital Region (NCR) will have its soft opening on Monday, February 03,” DFA said.

“The newest satellite office will accept walk-in applicants from February 3 to 5 and will accommodate online appointments starting Thursday, February 6. It will accept applications for new passports, passport renewal and replacement of lost expired passports,” it said.

DFA NCR-Northeast can be found on the second floor of Ali Mall and will be open from 10 in the morning up to 6 in the evening Monday to Saturday.

“The opening of satellite offices in malls is in line with the DFA’s objective of making services more accessible and convenient for the public. It also serves to decongest the DFA main passport processing facility at the ASEANA Business Park in Parañaque City,” DFA said.

The DFA has four other satellite offices located in major malls all over Metro Manila.
