OLONGAPO CITY—The Australian owner of a beach front resort here was shot and killed by a lone man on Friday and police said they found good leads that might help identify the killer.

Paul Davy, 50, coowner of Blue Rock resort in Barangay (village) Barreto, was drinking beer inside his resort at about 7 p.m. when he was attacked. Barreto is formerly the entertainment district, which thrived when the American military operated the Subic Bay naval base.

Davy was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes International Hospital, where he died two hours later.

“We have very good leads on the suspect because we have recovered the motorcycle that he used,” Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Recomono Jr., city police director, said on Sunday. “We will be able to get him very soon.” Robert Gonzaga, Inquirer Central Luzon
