Filipinos urged anew to back Palawan river

MANILA, Philippines—Malacañang on Saturday urged Filipinos to continue sending in their text votes to strengthen the Puerto Princesa Underground River’s chances of being declared one the New Seven Wonders of Nature.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said Palawan’s subterranean river was already in seventh place among the sites competing for the top seven slots.

In an interview over the state-run radio dzRB, Valte asked Filipinos to continue voting for the Puerto Princesa destination to move it to a higher and less vulnerable ranking than seventh place.
