Philippines certified free of foot-and-mouth disease in livestock

MANILA, Philippines—The World Organization for Animal Health has certified the Philippines to be free from foot-and-mouth disease, Malacañang said on Thursday.

This development “allows our country to export meat products,” presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said at a regular news briefing in Malacañang.
