Alice Guo, kin slapped with over 60 falsification, anti-dummy raps – NBI

MANILA, Philippines – The National Bureau of Investigation–Bulacan South District Office (NBI-BUSDO) filed on September 11 more than 60 charges before the Bulacan Prosecutor’s Office against dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo and four of her family members over alleged business dealings and property purchases in Bulacan.
Charged alongside the former mayor are her siblings, Shiela and Siemen Guo, and their parents, Guo Jian Zhong and Lin Wen Yi, the NBI announced Thursday.
The charges include 34 counts of falsification of public documents—30 counts for falsifying Articles of Incorporation, Secretary’s Certificates, and the 2021 General Information Sheet of six companies, and four counts for falsifying applications for business, occupancy, and business permits.

Additionally, the NBI filed charges for 30 counts of Simulation of Minimum Capital Stock under the Anti-Dummy Law.
Alice Guo was also charged separately with six additional counts of Falsification of Public Documents for allegedly falsifying the Deed of Sale and Documentary Stamp on the property where the companies supposedly stood.
NBI Agent Gregory Yu also told the Inquirer that the agency will proceed with a forfeiture case.
Records showed that the Guo siblings hold majority shares of six companies that share a principal address in Marilao Bulacan on a P2-million property purchased by Alice Guo in October 2010, according to the Registry of Deeds of Meycauayan City and the Tax Declarations of Marilao, the NBI reported.

The siblings, according to the NBI identified themselves as Filipinos in the Articles of Incorporation of the six companies.
The companies’ co-incorporators included both their parents, Lin Wen Yi and Guo Jian Zhong.
The Guo family is also facing falsification and anti-dummy charges filed by the NBI-National Capital Region for their 3Q Farm, Inc. in Pangasinan.
The ex-mayor is currently detained in the female dormitory of the Pasig City Jail for her trafficking charges. /dl
