RLC joins Pasig and Quezon City’s fight to end rabies
Over the years, Robinsons Land Corporation has been steadfast in promoting its animal welfare advocacies through its CSR activities championing adoption of rescues and access to free veterinary services, spay and neutering, and anti-rabies vaccination.

Pasiguenos crowded Maybunga Rainforest Park for the Rabies Awareness Month Kickoff where fur parents availed of free pet services and pet items. The local government officials were also proud to share zero case of rabies from December 2024 to present. This milestone event was led by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto (center) with the support of (from left) Pasig City Second District Councilor Angelu de Leon, RLC Corporate PR Head Jane Villa, RLC Corporate PR Manager Joan Egot, Pasig City Vice Mayor Robert “Dodot” Jaworski Jr., RLC Corporate PR Manager Cookie Marquez, and Pasig City District 1 Councilor Raymund Francis Rustia.
This year, RLC further strengthens its commitment by partnering with Quezon City Veterinary Department and Pasig City Veterinary Services in one of the most highlighted animal events- Rabies Awareness Month.
QCitizens gathered at Quezon Memorial Circle for the Rabies Awareness Month Kickoff. Attendees were able to avail free pet services such anti-rabies vaccination, spaying and neutering, vet consultation, deworming and microchipping. RLC representatives along with QC Veterinary team (center) engaged the fur parents with games and freebies.
The recent Rabies Awareness Month Kickoff celebration in Quezon City resulted to 222 cats and dogs vaccinated against rabies while Pasig City yielded 257. These ran simultaneously with spay and neuter operations which serviced 240 pets in Quezon City and 130 pets in Pasig City.
Spaying or neutering is ideal for cats as they are considered as prolific breeders. This procedure will
not only lessen unwanted litter of kittens but will also improve their overall health and wellness.
Rabies Awareness Month, annually observed in March, aims to raise the public’s understanding on the infectious viral disease and how it can be averted through proper education and prevention. By virtue of Republic Act 9482, various institutions and government agencies take part in different activities and programs related to curtail rabies cases in the country and eventually put an end to this deadly disease.

RLC’s art program.
Recognizing that rabies poses imminent threat to both human and animal health, RLC strives to be part of the solution by conducting regular rabies vaccination drives in its malls. Through RLC’s Pet Bakuna program, in partnership with the local government, free anti-rabies vaccines are made accessible and given for free to pet cats and dogs in nearby communities. During RLC’s Pet Bakuna activity, pet owners also receive pet care items, vet consultation and participate in talks on pet wellness, free of charge.
RLC encourages pet owners to regularly have their pets vaccinated annually. Watch out for succeeding Pet Bakuna and Pet Konsulta in Robinsons Malls near you.
