Marcos hosts Japanese security adviser Akiba in Malacañang
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met with Japanese National Security Adviser Akiba Takeo during a courtesy call in Malacañang on Thursday.
According to the Presidential Communications Office, Marcos gifted Akiba with a token and a birthday cake as the visit coincided with the Japanese official’s 65th birthday.

“President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomes Mr. Akiba Takeo, National Security Adviser of Japan, during a courtesy call on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Study Room, Malacañan Palace, Manila,” the PCO said.
“During the meeting, the President presented a token and a birthday cake to Akiba Takeo, who celebrates his 65th birthday today,” it added.
