MECHANIC ELECTROCUTED
A MOTORCYCLE mechanic was electrocuted while cutting branches of a tree in a barangay Otso-Poblacion, Tuburan town, northern Cebu, last Monday afternoon.
Ariel Sejo, 23, was electrocuted when branches of Gmelina trees he was cutting touched a live wire owned by Cebeco III.
The electric shock sent Sejo unconscious. A branch prevent him from falling to the ground.
Police said Sejo was rescued about 30 minutes after he was electrocuted as they waited for the Cebeco to have the line switched off.

3 PERSONS NABBED FOR THEFT
POLICE arrested three men who were allegedly caught burglarizing a house in barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City, yesterday morning.
Police identified the suspects as Cynthia Sinoy, 18, of Malingin Street, barangay Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City; Marianita Didace, 59, of F. Burgos Street, barangay San Roque, Cebu City; and Fe Abarque, 31, of San Roque Street, barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.
Insp. Rolando Pinili, deputy chief of the theft and robbery section of the Cebu City Police (CCPO) said Abarque was previously jailed at the Bagong Buhay Rehabilitation Center for robbery charges while Sinoy was previously committed at the Operation Second Chance for more than a year for similar charge.
The house is owned by Ethel Miramon, who was not at home when the incident occurred.
Dolores Go, 56, mother of Miramon, told police that she passed by the house around 10 a.m. and noticed that someone was inside.
Go called her daughter but no one responded.
She entered the house and was surprised to see the three persons inside.
Go then sought help from neighbors who helped arrest the intruders.
Police said recovered from the three persons were a Sony PSP worth P10,000 and a Samsung digital camera worth P17,000.
Operatives of the Mobile Patrol Group arrived and brought the suspects to the CCPO.
Abarque told police that it was Sinoy who destroyed the padlock and the doorknob before she entered. She said Didace served as a lookout of the group.
