Around 400 participants from more than 54 countries are expected to attend the conference.

One of the main objectives of ICWPS is to address the implementation of the United Nations (UN) Security Council Resolution 1325, which, according to the UN, “addresses the impact of war on women and the importance of women’s full and equal participation in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, peacekeeping, humanitarian response, and post-conflict reconstruction.”
