BJMP transfers Alice Guo’s 8 co-accused to Pasig City Jail

The eight co-accused of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo were transferred to Pasig City jail on October 3, according to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

MANILA, Philippines — The eight co-accused of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo were transferred to Pasig City jail on October 3, according to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Based on a report from BJMP spokesperson Jayrex Bustinera, the eight co-accused arrived at the city jail’s male dormitory from the Tarlac Provincial Jail.

“All PDL [people deprived of liberty] have charges of Qualified Trafficking under Pasig RTC (Regional Trial Court) 166. Walter Wong Long has another case with Pasig RTC 167 with the other co-accused of Alice Guo,” Bustinera said on Thursday.

  • Shicong Zhang, alias Olaf
  • Huang Yue Hai
  • Ma The Pong
  • Wang Weili
  • Wuli Dong, alias Yousuf;
  • Nong Ding Chang, alias Todd
  • Lang Xu Po, alias Ah Xun

“All PDL were received following BJMP standard protocols on the commitment of PDL,” Bustinera said.

Last September 23, Guo, whose real name is Guo Hua Ping — was transferred at the female dormitory of the Pasig City jail after over two weeks of detention in the Philippine National Police Custodial Facility.

The former mayor is facing a qualified human trafficking complaint filed by the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission before the Department of Justice last June 21.

Another warrant of arrest was also issued by the Tarlac Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 109 against Guo for reportedly violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act last September 5. This case was transferred from the Tarlac RTC to the Valenzuela RTC.
