MANILA, Philippines — Alice Guo, whose real name is Guo Hua Ping, will be transferred to Pasig City jail, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said Friday.

The PNP is attempting to transfer Guo from its custodial center in Camp Crame, Quezon City, to the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory by Friday.

Fajardo said Guo will have to first undergo her initial arraignment at the Valenzuela Regional Trial Court (RTC) on Friday afternoon.

To recall, Tarlac Regional Trial Court Branch 109 issued a warrant of arrest against the dismissed mayor of Bamban on September 5 for allegedly violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. This graft case was transferred from the Tarlac RTC to the Valenzuela RTC.

The court set a bail of P180,000 for Guo, but she has not posted bail so far and has been under the PNP’s custody in Camp Crame since September 6.

Guo left the country on July 18 despite an ongoing probe into her probable role in the operations of illegal Philippine offshore gaming operations (Pogos). Indonesian authorities arrested her in Jakarta on September 4.
