Bongbong Marcos to meet with US VP Harris, Canada PM Trudeau – envoy
SAN FRANCISCO, United States — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is expected to meet with United States Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday (Philippine time) on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Summit here, Philippine Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez said.
He is also slated to meet with Peruvian President Dina Boluarte on the same day, according to the Philippine envoy to the United States.
Romualdez, however, did not share details of the anticipated meetings except noting that his cousin Marcos and Harris “are good friends.”

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Harris said she was looking forward to “welcoming leaders from throughout the Indo-Pacific and working together to promote economic growth and prosperity in the region.”

Marcos’ third trip to the United States as president will last for a week, including attendance at the Apec Summit and working visits to Los Angeles and Hawaii.
Marcos’ US trip is his 18th journey abroad since assuming the presidency on June 30, 2022.
