MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines is partnering with Estonia to strengthen cybersecurity and digital innovations, the information and communications department said.
In the Tallinn Digital Summit on September 5, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Ivan John E. Uy told Estonia Prime Minister Kaja Kallas that the Philippines is preparing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the collaboration between the two countries, in a statement issued on the agency’s Facebook page on Thursday.
“The proposed MOU between the Philippines and Estonia will pave the way for future agreements in other fields of ICT, support the government’s digital transformation, and enhance the country’s cybersecurity posture,” Secretary Uy said.
