Former US envoy to PH Sung Kim appointed to State Department
MANILA, Philippines — Former United States Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim has been appointed acting assistant secretary for the US Department of State’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs.
According to the US Department of State’s website, Kim assumed his position on Jan. 20, 2021.
Three days after his appointment, Kim paid a visit to the Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel “Babe” Romualdez.
