He said around half of the Filipino migrant workers in Singapore are household service workers while the rest are skilled and professional workers.

Singapore has extended its “circuit breaker period” aimed at breaking the transmission of the coronavirus to two more weeks which will last until June 1, Candolada said.

“Mas mahigpit ang pagpapatupad ng circuit breaker period,” he said.

“Lahat ng gathering ngayon including religious gathering bawal po,” he added.

On Tuesday, Singapore confirmed 1,111 new COVID-19 cases, bringing its total to 9,125.

Meanwhile, the latest data from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) showed a total of 1,084 overseas Filipinos having contracted COVID-19.
