Business plan contest offers P500,000 to seamen
Retiring seafarers can get as much as P500,000 to start their own business if they participated in a business plan competition launched by the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole).
It’s the fourth time the Dole’s National Reintegration Center for Overseas Filipino Workers is staging the competition which aims to challenge OFWs to become entrepreneurs.
Roel Martin, center director, said the competition is open to individuals, pairs or groups of at least three active seafarers. —Jovic Yee
