KAMPUTHAW FIRE

AT least P150,000 worth of properties was lost when a fire razed three houses in the Caballero Compound, in Kamputhaw, Cebu City, yesterday morning.

Police said the fire that broke out at 3:37 a.m. started at the house of Clint Caballero where only a candle was used to light the house after the Visayan Electric Co. cut off his electrical connection a few days ago.

Cebu City Fire Marshall Supt. Anderson Comar said the fire was put out after eight minutes.

A 29-YEAR-OLD man committed suicide after his parents allegedly prevented him from getting married yesterday.

Nyrichie Neire of J. M. Basa Street, barangay San Nicolas, was discovered by his father Presco Niere hanging lifeless on a beam in their warehouse early morning.
Homicide investigator Jodan Batucan said there was no sign of foul play.

Police said they found a suicide note at the scene. The note said the victim was depressed because he was not allowed by his parents to marry./CORRESPONDENT CHITO ARAGON


BURGLARY

THE revenue manager of Radisson Blu Hotel lost his laptop and other important documents to burglars inside his apartment Tuesday morning in barangay Mabolo.

Rodel Cruzat Rosales, 45, reported to the Theft and Robbery Section that he lost his Sonny Vaio laptop and other important documents at 9 a.m.

Police said the suspects entered the place after they detached the jalousie blades of the victim’s room window.
