Mandaue City to crack down on constructions without permits
AFTER shutting down businesses without permits, Mandaue City is now running after construction projects begun without the governments go signal.
The Mandaue City Council yesterday released an order for police to apprehend persons involved in construction projects in the city that have no building permits.
The management, owners and construction workers involved are punishable under the order that was issued in accordance with City Ordinance 12-2011-606.
Owners are required to display the building permits prominently in the construction site.
The City Council also enjoined all barangay captains and councilors to coordinate with authorities in conducting surveillance for those buildings.
Assistant City Treasurer Cipriano Jamora said the city is vigilant against establishments operating without permits.

He said it is illegal and punishable by law.
A building permit must be secured before a construction project begins.
