Philippines to host its first International Bio Energy Conference
The 1st Philippine International Bio Energy Conference will be held in Manila on January 12 and 13, 2012. The event will gather local and international experts from the renewable energy industry, agricultural community, and representatives from government and the private sector to discuss issues on bioenergy research and development, as well as the economically viable and environmentally sustainable production and utilization of biofuels and biomass supply.
The dates of the conference coincide with the celebration of the third anniversary of the Philippine Renewable Energy Act of 2008 (Republic Act 9531) and the fifth year of the implementation of the Biofuels Act of 2006 (Republic Act 9367).
