MANILA, Philippines—One of the police negotiators in the Manila bus hostage-taking incident, which took eight lives, is still regretful after a year, a report on 990AM said Tuesday.

Chief inspector Romeo Salvador, who was one of the police negotiators who failed to handle the crisis, personally attended the commemorative event of the first year anniversary of the tragedy to offer flowers and candles and to personally apologize to the victims’ family and relatives, the report said.

Salvador was quoted as saying that until today, he is regretful of what had happened and wishes to bring back the time of the incident so he can do more, said the report.
