PH one of world’s Top 10 places to visit—survey

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines has been recognized as one of the top 10 places in the world to visit, a survey showed.

According to a survey by Huffington Post, the Philippines was chosen as one of the “10 Places to Go” in 2014  because the mix of “cosmopolitan affordability and splendid nature” makes it a destination that offers a lot for the money.

Huffington Post said the country will appeal to “bargain hunters, outdoorsy types, and the food obsessed.”

It also said that the Philippines was recently named by Lonely Planet as one of the top value destinations for 2014.

The report  also cited that  according to CIO Wealth Management Research’s Prices and Earnings report, Manila has some of the cheapest shopping and upscale dining in the world.

It  went on to encourage its readers to visit the Philippines, saying that the country needs a tourism boost following the devastationt of Super Typhoon “Yolanda” (Haiyan).
