NEW YORK—Fil-Am theater journalist Randy Gener was assaulted on Jan. 17, shortly before 4am after leaving a party and is said to be recovering from surgery after suffering sever head trauma, reports BroadwayWorld.com.
Gener was attacked in midtown Manhattan and was found in the vicinity of 7th Avenue near 54th/55th Street. He is currently recovering in the ICU after brain surgery.
Police are asking anyone with more information to come forward, and the active case file is #485, under Detective Enis at the 18th Precinct at (212) 767-8400.
Gener is an editor, social media expert, accomplished writer and critical thinker with 10 years of experience leading, directing, managing and editing news, features and narrative content for print publications, new media and interactive digital projects.
